Capacity Development Program (CDP)

Overview
LIAE has built and strengthened the capacity of target institutions and communities, and continued doing so through its Capacity Development Program (CDP). The program helps individuals, communities and institutions reach their full potential, and find sustainable solutions to their problems.

LIAE believes that people should lead their own development, with little or no external interventions, and build sustainable livelihoods through a phase-by-phase process. LIAE, as part of its CDP, has helped thousands of smallholder farmers to rebuild their farming systems and enhance their ability to engage with markets more effectively.

The Capacity Development Program has the following two dimensions:

  • Institutional Capacity Development (ICD)
  • Community Capacity Development (CCD)
